I’ve been playing The Sims for more years than I care to count and have owned every single release, expansion, stuff pack and everything else you’d care to mention through Sims 1 to the newer Sims 3. I even still have all the disks (even though I’ve moved to a new country!).

Currently, I’m playing Sims 3 with World Adventures, Ambitions, High End Loft Stuff and Fast Lane Stuff.

Maybe I do look a little familiar?

Although this site has nothing to do with the original SimGrrl site (a product of GrrlGamer and long abandoned), I have been simming and doing sites for quite some time.

A few years ago, I kept a site called VillaSim. I offered a few creations for Sims2 (wallpapers, recolors etc) and kept a blog, and I had a blast doing it. Then life happened and my husband went back to the US for work, leaving me with the daunting task of renovating and selling our house in New Zealand and going through immigration. Too busy, I lost my passion; not for Simming persay, but for creating, writing and dealing with the community. As a result, VillaSim and I disappeared into the abyss.

Now I’ve entered a new phase of my life (and a new country!) and I’m finding that I want to get back to that.  I’ve been at a loose end, and getting this up and running again has been more fun than I imagined it would be (I’ve even pulled an all-nighter or two!). I have a lot to learn before I can start offering creations again (if I do), but we’ll see what happens.

I’m a simple grrl, so I use simple tools. I take screenshots in game and resize and edit them using Adobe Photoshop Elements. I rarely retouch, simply enhance.

I also have very few downloads in my game, though you will find items from Mod The Sims, Around The Sims 3, XM Sims, Holy Simoly and occasionally items from The Sims Resource. I also spend a bit of time over at MATY.

I also use Twallan’s Story Progression mod as well as Put Away All Books, Store All Fish And Harvestables and Buyable Tents.

I play on a dual core system running Windows 7. I have 6 GB of RAM and use an Nvidia GT 220 graphics card.

Electronic Arts have announced the next Expansion Pack for the Sims 3 Franchise. Pets will also be available as a standalone game for XBox and Playstation platforms and for the first time ever, players will be able to see the world from their pets point of view. I was excited by the announcement. Then I saw the screenshots and now all I have to say is “OMG! PONY!!”
